Reviews

5.0 Very Good, Very Expensive
While this dey may very well have the fewest features for the most money, what sets it aside is heavy duty construction designed to withstand continuous commercial use and the best record and playback electronics in the business. Which, after all, is the most important part of the formula if you are shopping in this bracket. I have one in the studio that is used for analog to digital transfer and I am constantly amazed how it finds things on the tape that I never knew were there.

This is also the most precise deck for level setting, speed control, and indexing. It also weighs a ton. With its lake of something as simple as auto-reverse, the 122mkIII is obvious not really intended for normal home use. But it offers the audiophile with a significant tape collection the opportunity to really hear what it there.
