The phones feature a trio of "virtual room" presets from which to choose. The small room setting (DH1) re-creates a small, well-damped room with very little reverberation that's perfect for both movies and music-only recordings, while the medium room (DH2) is a more acoustically live (or "wet") room that's well suited to both formats as well (with moderate reverberation). Meanwhile, the large room setting (DH3) offers a bigger sound, more like the audio within a concert hall or movie theater.

Awesome Best Surround Headphones Ever & Cordless TooBefore I go on, I just wrote a glowing review on the Ultrasome Proline 650's which I thought were fantastic but these headphones are head & shoulders better & they're cordless too. I was very reluctant to buy cordless headphones (in fact I only buy from places with return policies)but these headphones were flawless. Absolutely no glitches or problems whatsever. I connected the base by optic cable from my receivers digital out & I was in business. The 5.1 surround sound from DVD's & TV was awesome, I thought I was in a theater not listening to headphones. In fact I had to check a few times to make sure my speakers were off as it sounded like I hearing speakers, not headphones, when I was watching a DVD or listening to TV & I mean that in the best possible light. The headphones are very comfortable, cordless & sound awesome. Cd's sounded excellent too. I bought these because I live in an apartment & can't listen on my home theater late at night because of the neighbors. These headphones are the answer to anyone having neighbor problems. In fact, although I love my 5 surround sound speakers & sub, because I'm limited to the volume I can play in my apartment, DVD's sound better listening to them on these headphones then hearing them off my speakers! I'll be honest, if I read that from someone else, I wouldn't believe it but it's true! They rule!
