Product Description

As the flagship table top CD player from Pioneer, the CDJ-1000MK2 offers an astounding assortment of high-end performance options. The CDJ-1000MK2 builds on the revolutionary changes that the original CDJ-1000 brought to the digital DJ. Check out killer functions like extended tempo range (±100%), cue markers, digital outs, hot cues and more, the CDJ-1000MK2 is a serious CD player for the cutting-edge DJ. Innovative features include "delay-free scratching" when cueing a song or jumping to a "hot cue." The memory build is instant so you can start scratching immediately. A Cue Marker is set automatically within the center display to visually represent the cue point relative to the jog dial's location, much like vinyl DJs use tape or pen to mark their sample start points. The super "Wide" Pitch Control lets DJs use the ±100 percent pitch control range to create new sound effects from opposite ends of the sound spectrum and also to BPM match completely different tracks. This is in addition to the standard ±6, ±10 and ±16 percent pitch ranges. The full-feature Digital Out function ensures that all of the CDJ-1000MK2's digital features are carried over to any connected digital environment, even scratching and master tempo. And an Extra Bright Display allows the DJ to see the track info more clearly and makes key features brighter. The Hot Cue (sampler) memorizes up to three cue points per CD. These points can then be recalled by hitting either of the A, B or C buttons. This fun

5.0 "Only for the serious DJ"
If you are not a professional dj, This is not for you (unless you got a couple of grand to blow). You cannot just get 1 you have to have a pair to be on top of your game. I bought them because I've been a dj for 23 years, and to not have to carry any record crates to a party just a couple of cd books is the best thing that could ever happen to any dj (that can afford them) yeah its pricey but its worth it.

3 hot cues (a,b,c) loop feature, a memory card that remembers every cut point on every cd that you used (for me about 90 different ones so far), awesome spinbacks, and a never skip scratch, what more can you ask for, if you can afford it , dont hesitae get it.
It's the best thing they ever invented for a mobile dj, YOU NEED THIS!
5.0 The best CD player money can Buy
Despite of all magazine reviews, the Pioneer CDJ-1000Mk2 is the new 1200 of the industry (if you know what i am talking). It has 4 types of pich 6% 10% 16% and Wide (a.k.a 100%) the large very large Dial, that has very touch sensitve feeling so if you are scrach DJ, or any type this is the most versatile dial you can buy... forget denon.. forget techics (the new one.. not the mk2)... this is the baby every one has on raves and big shows. the screen is brighter than the Mk1 version (even do, i havent seen mk1 in action).

it has revers funtions, that allows to back spin the cd even if scraching... also its quick!! loading and un-loading, it has 3 cue points, so if you are undecide , set them up and change your mind with out setting up again the cue points

the only bad thing about this cd player its that its expensive so if you are one of those bedroom DJ, you might wana wait till you get 2k so you can buy a pair.

5.0 The classic, professional CD player
I've seen this player at clubs all over the country and abroad. Definitely the reference. I've owned the non-mk2 version for over 2 years and am totally satisfied with it. The memory card and ability to store cue-point is great: I put a cue point at the beginning of each song which I think is worthwhile on a CD, which makes me see at-a-glance what to listen to in a CD.

Only things I'd like to see is a 4th hotcue point (useful since beats are 4/4), and I'd like to see less of a lag when cueing for scratch, but I guess that's inherent to the CD format. The lag is very acceptable once you know it's there.

Also, it would be nice if it was possible to select a cuepoint from the memory card and cue instantly while playing rather than having to do this offline.

Loading is also very fast (compared to the new Technics SL-DZ1200 digital turntable, which takes an annoying 12 seconds to load a CD (good for a living-room stereo, but a club?).

The mk2 has almost nothing more added compared to the normal, non-mk2 one. This annoyingly lowers the selling price of mine for no good reason.

The fact pioneer hasn't had to release a real new model in years shows how standard this one is, though if they continue this way they'll be bitten by the competition in pretty much the same way Technics was by Vestax, Stanton, and everybody else. Maybe that's why they named this one after Technics' turntables: mk2... ;)
