Great if you want a low quailty instrumentPurchased Trombone in December/January of 2005. Laquer finish is almost completely tarneshed except for bell. Valves are very sticky even if you work on them. Tuning slide for middle valve is very flat sharp even if all pushed in. Hard case, isnt very hard. Its VERY flimsy. Fine mouthpiece. Reccomend normal Trombone mouthpiece. Great buy for the money.
Jazz Studio 3 Valve Trombone Is a good deal.I've had this horn now for 3 weeks. And am happy with the instrument. Its made in India and has an alright laquer finish with a couple of blemishes. All the slides go in and out smoothly. Valve action seems a bit heavy but workable. (Like a tuba or baritone horn) Tone quality is good.
When I purchased it I thought it may have an actual trombone slide so that you could play it either by valves or by slide. I was wrong. But being a trumpeter by training that didn't bother me very much.
If you need a horn and don't want to spend the dollars this trombone will get you making music on the cheap.
This is a trombone they say I ordered but never didI can't give a reiew on this one, because I never order or received it. This is an order they try to double charge me on, but I had my visa card in on it from the beginning. Why in the world would I purchase two trombones. Beats me. That's how they try to get you when you shop online.
