Guarneri model violin has a strong, medium-flamed, maple back, with similar ribs and scroll. The top is made of a fine grain spruce with an oil varnish finish. violinEven though I am only 12 my middle school orchestra consists of great players for 6th graders at Plaza middle school this violin makes a very mellow sound
