If you're serious about learning harp, don't buy this!About a year ago, I bought one of these Pakistani-made harps. I wanted to learn to play the harp, but knew next to nothing about the instrument. I only knew most harps went for over $1000 and this one was under $300.
I took lessons on this harp for about three months. I learned very quickly the limitations of this harp in tone quality and number of strings. If I was to start over I would rent a harp while learning the basics(some teachers and most harp stores will rent harps) and while deciding what factors to look for in a harp purchase. I learned a lot about harps in those first few months!
If you're hoping to play folk music (such as Irish or Scotish tunes), I'd recommend a harp with at least 36 strings. 29 just doesn't give you enough octaves to play melody and ornamentation.
Good luck with your music!
