I love this beautiful guitar! This is my first solid-body electric and first seven-string. I have named her Belle. The color is really gray, unlike the picture above (which is probably the black model), and the finish is iridescent. There were no blemishes when it arrived. Thank God they packed it securely because I could tell it shifted around -- the box was dinged (but not the ax!). The sustain is amazingly long. I have average hands and I was afraid I'd have problems reaching all the way across the neck to the 7th string -- no worries there, the neck is just under 2" wide at the first fret and 2.5" wide at the 17th. My only complaint: I have a hard time keeping the 2nd and 3rd strings in tune but this is more due to my own incompetence than the guitar itself. Buy this guitar if you have the cash -- it's a steal at this price! Cheers
pretty goodI am fairly happy with this guitar---I play jazz, carnatic
(south indian music), and I like clean rich sounds with good
sustain---not a fan of distortions or too many special effects.
As far as I am concerned, the sound is excellent, the
action was good straight out of the box, as are the grover
18:1 tuners.
Like the previous reviewer says, I have no trouble reaching
all the strings with my (medium) hands. There are a couple
of cribs I have though---one of the strings was rusted when I
got the guitar, and the guitar had a couple of minor scratches
when I received it. Neither is a big problem I agree, but I hate
seeing any blemish on a music instrument, that is why there are
4*'s instead of 5.
