Product Description
The Epiphone Elitist Les Paul Standard Plus Electric Guitar has it all: rich, smooth tone, sustain, and versatility. The Elite series instruments are made with premium woods, fitted with American pickups and circuitry --- even American-made toggle switches and Grover tuners. All they lack are the nitrocellulose finishes of their Gibson counterparts. They are made at a special factory exclusively devoted to their manufacture where they receive a high degree of hands-on luthier attention. This model represents the Paul legacy with distinction. It features a bookmatched flamed maple top on a bookmatched mahogany back and is fully American equipped.Reviews
Excellent quality and valueI actually have the Elitists Standard, which now seems to have gone out of production. Essentially the same guitar, but the Plus has a figured maple top rather than plain maple top. This guitar is at least as toneful and well-built as a good Gibson Les Paul (in my opinion, it's actually better), and is many notches higher than a regular (non-Elitist) Epiphone Les Paul. This is built in Japan and is of a phenomenal build quality. Beautiful vintage humbucker tones, fantastic build quality using Gibson pickups and US hardware, shipped with a beautiful hardshell case with purple plush lining. I need more of these Les Pauls for my collection. It's so good I'm actually thinking of switching over completely from Strats, which I've been playing for 20 years.
