Product Description

Noel usually plays a Supernova with a Union Jack finish. This one is more sedate, with a light metallic blue finish, but the works are the same. 2 humbuckers, chrome hardware, set mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard with split parallelogram inlays, body and neck binding, and a laminated maple body.

4.0 OASIS FAN OR NOT,ONE OF THE BEST GUITARS UNDER $700
This is one helluva guitar for the money. God knows what third world country this thing was built in, but guarranted this isn't your dad's '60s cheeselog UniVox. Overseas built guitars have an undeserving reputation for being poorly built with inferior hardware, but the Epiphone Supernova is just as good, in some ways better, as the original guitars it was based off of: In this case, Noel Gallagher's Epiphone Riviera. The closest guitar in the Epiphone catalog is the ES335 Dot. Modsifications include fretboard inlays and a repositioned toggle switch on the upper bout. The pickups are much hotter than the Dots, but can sound very mellow with proper amplifier settings. The workmanship on this guitar is exceptional in relation to the price. No, it doesnt have 24k gold plated hardware or an AAAAA curly maple top, but do you really need that crap anyway, Maestro? For less than $100 you can get the Union Jack paintjob, which in my opinion is cool, but it is so associated with the signature artist that anyone else owning it would look sort of silly on stage with it.
