Product Description
All the sumptuous ingredients that made the Les Paul name great are in the Gibson Les Paul Classic Electric Guitar in spades: a skillfully carved maple top on a mahogany back perfectly joined to a mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard, all powered by a 496R ceramic humbucker in the front and a 500T at the bridge. And the Classic goes a few steps farther with green tuning keys, amber top-hat knobs, plain cream pickguard, true '60s slim-tapered neck, and trapezoid fretboard inlays. Gold hardware on ebony; nickel hardware with all other finishes. Includes Gibson hardshell case.Reviews
IT'S A LES PAULWhen you really break it down their are two type of good guitarist:Fender lovers, and Gibson lovers.
Fender tend to be better at the tricks of the trade like stevie ray vaughan and Eric Clapton.Gibson are more modern seen, like Slash from Guns'N'Roses.Les Pauls are truely a classy guitar. This is possibly the best non-custom shop Les Paul available. The fall back is for little extra cash you can get a custom Les Pual. This is still a awsome in your face guitar.
Many say a classic LP isn't for lead.Thats not true the humbuckers are the 498R Alnico Magnet humbuckers and they kcik butt.Perfect tone. The tendency of Les Pauls weighing a ton makes this not a good choice for an all nighter. The vibe from this is so warm and so amazing. This guitar has so many nice finishes i love the honey burst finish.A Jimmy Page look to it.
Eventually you come back to reality and begin to think "IM NOT RICH" well then go for a Fender guitar cheap and durable.I say a Stevie Ray Vaughan artist strat is the way to go for people willing to go some of the way for a LP and not all the way.
