Beautiful...I've had my Epiphone Les Paul bass for about a month now, and I love it. I had the choice between the black finish and this Cherry Sunburst scheme, and I have to say the flame looks gorgeous and is visible even under the darker sunburst shading. The neck feels very nice and thick, the frets are pretty large as well. This bass produces a nice punch and tone, much like the bass keys of a piano, and the sound is easy to manipulate with the pots on the lower right corner of the body. The balance is ok- the neck won't go plunging to the ground like on my 5 string EB-3 but it's not as perfect as any of my Fenders, either. I was also rather disappointed that the Epiphone Les Paul bass is made of alder instead of mahogany like the Gibson version. Overall though, it's a great piece, and you can't go wrong with the price.
