Product Description
Includes free featherweight Carrying Case, with Strap and Carrying Handle, and Rosin. Four fine tuners. Accessory colors/style may vary. Violin has Pearwood Fingerboard and other Accessories. Ideal for beginning students! Here are some hints to help keep your violin in tune:1. Although the violins come with a bridge, it is not installed. Installing a bridge should not be too difficult, but if you have a problem, please email Austin Bazaar. We will be glad to help you. The bridge has to be installed for the violin to play correctly. 2. Strings do tend to slip and lose their tune on a new violin because they need to stretch. If this happens, just give it time. This does NOT mean that the violin is defective. The strings just need time to settle in. 3. If the violin pegs keep slipping, try to push the peg in while turning it. If they still dont stay in, peg drops are available at most music stores. They are relatively inexpensive and should help the pegs stay in. 4. If a strand of hair breaks on the bow, take a pair of nail clippers and cut it from the frog (bottom of the bow) or the top of the bow. A few hairs are bound to fall out with play. Remember to rub a little rosin (included) on the bow before playing.Reviews
Nice Violin, EXCELLENT price!I received this violin and loved it! The case is very nice and the bow is beautiful too! My friend, a violin instructor, helped me set up the bridge, with no problems. The instrument has a beautiful, glossy finish and does have a wood chin rest as stated in the product description. The pegs and chin rest were black and not brown like it shows in the picture on Amazon so beware of that. Although the product description clearly states that accessory colors may vary. I was very pleased. My friend, the violinist said you must rub the rosin for a long time until it is no longer shiny, but dull in appearance, then it will rub off on the bow. The violin seems to hold tune well for a brand new instrument with brand new strings which, exactly like the product description states, need to stretch and will need to be tuned frequently at first. My violin instructor and close friend says this violin is nicer than the one she started on that costed her $500! She has aspirations of becoming a concert violinist, and this instrument impressed her, so I know I will be happy with it, and I got a bargain by purchasing it! Order this with ease of mind and enjoy it when it arrives! I have.
