Percussion instrument of the Phillipines, used to ward off evil and as a musical instrument. Called Tugangay in the Phillipines, the Devil Chaser is carved from bamboo, the handle is split part-way up, allowing the instrument to buzz when struck against the thigh or heel of the hand. Great as a rhythm or ritual instrument.
