The wooden clave companion makes playing the claves easier for everyone! Slip one of your own claves (claves are not included) under the elastic bands, so that it sits on top of the hollowed side of the clave companion - this automatically creates the proper resonance chamber. Then just tap another clave against the clave that's on the companion, to create your favorite rhythm. Now you won't have to concentrate on holding your hand cupped in the proper shape to create a "resonance chamber".

This makes clave playing so easy for the little ones! Kids in my general music classes are successful with this product. The elastic bands sometimes break, but used with care, they're great.
