Export shells are formed using Pearl's exclusive Heat Compression Shell Molding System, the same process used on all Pearl drums from entry-level to the top-of-the-line Masterworks drums. Pearl's proprietary overlapping seams are gapless and allow the shells to vibrate uniformly, unencumbered by air pockets like some others. This process is the most exacting on the market today and is responsible for Pearl's exceptional clarity and purity of sound. Great drums!I haven't actually purchased these drums, but I've heard many great things about the Export line. Join the Pearl Drummers Forum. These drums sound excellent, and are very durable. However, I'd like to point something out: this drumset is a SHELL PACK!! You only get the drums, rims, heads, and (I think) two tom mounts. That's all. The hardware is extra.
I give these drums 10 stars!!
