Zildjian K Custom Series 22" Dry Complex Thin Ride Cymbalby Zildjian

Product Description
This unique Ride cymbal is the culmination of over two years of work between the Zildjian Sound Lab and jazz luminary, Bill Stewart. Extremely high profile and, adding to its range of complex overtones, the largest bell of any K Custom cymbal. Traditional K Custom lathing on top but without the tonal groves to give the cymbal a loose sound. Bottom is lightly scored except for the outside edge to help contain the overtones. Extensive hammering throughout.Reviews
A great cymbal for modern jazzI recently got one of these pies, which was returned to the store by the previous owner, almost untouched. I immediately falled in love with it. It is musical, soft and warm. It's still setting down, losing much metallic ring and enhancing the soft cushion.
It feels great to ride on too, and it's a very serviceable crash. I have been a loyal UFIP player for many years, and this cymbal represents the first real strong pro-Zildjian argument.
Zildjian and Bill Stewart, you have given birth to a gem!I just got this ride and it is amazing. It has such a wonderfully expansive sonic pallete. This is a very versatile ride, not in the sense that it can be used in many different styles though.
This ride is versatile in itself. Elvin Jones could get twenty different sounds from just one ride cymbal. I shudder to think of the number of sounds he could get from this cymbal.
This cymbal is dry, wet, raw and aggressive, yet sensitive and delicate all together. The stick definition is very dry but this cymbal has plenty of wash and spread. The crash is very similar to the nastiness of a china.
If you are looking for a light cymbal that sounds like the beauty of a K Constantinople crossed with an A China Trash, get this cymbal. I have yet to get a chance to really lay into this cymbal on a gig, but I can't wait to.
Get it!
