Reviews

1.0 Can't open it to put in a battery!
I have been buying tuners for 45 years. I wish I had not bought this one. I bought it months ago. I cannot open the battery door to put in a battery. There must be some trick to it that I do not know. I have lots of tuners and like to have different ones and I am hardly a novice.

Can't someone let us know how you do this?
5.0 Great Mini Tuner for guitars!
A great bargain. Easy to use digital display which tells you with a needle if you are flat or sharp of the note. It will also automatically tell you what guitar string/note you are tuning, so you don't have to touch the tuner from start to finish. Nice small size unit, as well.
5.0 Great value!
I'm using this tuner for a guitar with a pickup, so I don't have a need for the microphone, but I did verify that the microphone works. The tuner is very simple to use: Just play an open string, and it will automatically tell you how much off you are. It just works...
4.0 Looks a bit cheap, but functional
Changing the battery requires opening the case, baring pretty much the entire inner circuitry. Should consider a redesign.

Other than that, it is very accurate. I have tested it against a keyboard, and it's picked up the notes precisely. I tuned the guitar with it, but it seems to hover quite a bit. Picking the string with different strengths produced different readings, and the auto mode sometimes confuses between the two E notes. But the auto mode is nice; it can find out which string is being played. It even picked up chords.

Nice little simple gadget. Comes with 2 AAA batteries.
4.0 Neat, Simple Tuner
I'm no expert on tuning, but I've been using this little tuner for my violin, and it seems to be excellent. It's easy to use, simple, gives understandable readings, and the microphone on it is very responsive. I would give it 5 stars, except for the case on it is a little poorly designed, and it's more difficult than it could be to change the batteries in it (though I've been using it for months and the batteries that came with it are still good), but this isn't much of a problem. Overall, it's a great, cheap tuner, if you prefer the kind that listens to you and gives you a reading -- which I think is the easiest kind to work with.
5.0 Simple and affective
This tuner isn't anything extremely fancy, but it WORKS, it does exactly what it was built to do, nothing more, nothing less and that's why I rated it 5 stars. If you want something CHEAP that actually WORKS, go for this tuner above any other brand or make. I stand by it.
5.0 simple, easy, inexpensive
and it works. What more could you ask for?
4.0 Useful gadget
Changing the battery is a pain. But that is the only drawback I see. I used it to tune my violin and it was great. I haven't tried it on the bass yet.

I am very happy with this, good gadget for a reasonable price.
