awesome for a beginning drummerI bought this a couple of months after buying my first drumset - I bought it along with a new set of Remo pinstripe heads. I can't tell you how much easier this is for the beginning drummer than tuning by ear or with a pitchfork. You just take the pressure of the drum instead of hitting it over and over and over again to get the right pitch. The best thing is, if you're playing a gig and want to tune your set differently, you can just record the pressures you play with certain songs and tuning is a breeze. Many of my friends who have played for years also use this and love it.
