Each end has a fully rotatable clamp, which accepts a 12.7mm (1/2") rod. Allows user to attach to a tom mount L-rod on one side, and attach a boom cymbal arm on the other end. Basically it gives you more mounting options. Includes boom cymbal arm.

Adds a lot of flexibility
This arm is uniquely and cleverly designed to be both both a straight and boom cymbal arm. It works beautifully with the DW TS990 double tom stand (ASIN B0002E52ZM), or any other L-rod tom holder. It's heavy-duty and of the highest quality. Your choices for configuring this arm are nearly endless. See Customer Images for some ways in which I've configured mine. The most important features are price and quality, for which this arm ranks high, and flexibile configuration - again, this gets high marks.
