Excellent performance and valueAlthough my favorite beater is the Slug Percussion Power Head Jazz Pro Titanium model (ASIN: B0002F5G2A), this beater is a close second in performance and - at a significant savings in price - a better value.
I use this beater mainly on my Axis X (shortboard) pedal (ASIN: B0002F7HVS), but it also works well on my DWP pedal. Regardless of which pedal you use, you'll feel an immediate difference in performance, especially after you tweak the shaft weight to suit your personal style and feel. The best feature is the swiveling head that automatically aligns to meet your drum head perfectly. This feature alone will make a big difference in sound.
