Finally! My ears are too small for the iPod earbuds. I can't even fit them in. I decided to try these, and they fit! It took a little adjusting, but they actually stay in, unlike the earbuds and the EarJams I tried. I give them four stars only because my ears hurt for a second after having them in for too long, but it's no big deal. Otherwise, they're great. The sound is good, and they come in a bunch of different colors, which is cool. I recommend them for anyone having trouble finding comfortably-fitting earbuds.
Good for the priceI bought these headphones after the ones for my iPod, with which I was quite happy, eventually got to the point where it sounded like the music was coming from a tin can.
I bought the "Coconut White" color, and I was surprised by the fact that one side of the wire is an ever so slight shade of red. It's no big deal, and it's barely noticeable from over 3 feet away, but I was just not expecting that.
The sound quality of the headphones is comparable to the ones that come with an iPod, and I have no complaints. I have never listened to music through a $200 pair of headphones, because I don't take it that seriously. They are plenty loud; my only complaint is they may be a little too loud. I like to listen to music the help me fall asleep, and set the sleep timer on my iPod. However, even with the volume on the lowest setting, it isn't quite quiet enough. For all other times of day, I have no problems.
After using the iPod headphones for almost a year, I know that they were uncomfortable. However, by the time I wore those out, I was used to them, and did not experience any discomfort in wearing them. These headphones do not feel any different in my ear, so I have no complaints about their comfort either.
My final tiny complaint is the feel of the wires. They are made a silicone-like material, and there is a lot of friction. In that respect it is very easy for the wire to get caught on something and have the headphone jump out of your ear. However, I found that after a while the "stickiness" began to wear away, and it no longer was an issue.
Overall, I think these headphones are excellent quality. They were an excellent replacement to my original iPod headphones, VERY INEXPENSIVE, and prove well for listening to all kinds of music, including jazz and rock, and I would recommend them to anybody.
Great Product Great Price JVC Gummy Ear BudsI recently had the unplanned opportunity this Christmas to compare the JVC Gummy earbud headphones against the Sony version and the Memorex version of this product. So the scientist in me and my 2 daughters tried all three on an ipod nano. It was amazing the difference between the products. The bass is considerably clearer on the JVC product. The volume is much louder ( so you don't have to raise the volume as high and subsequently also raising the hiss and other noise of the particular player you're using). The vocals and cymbals were equally crisp. All this for a mere $8.99 plus S&H online or $14.99 in Walmart. The only drawback that we could find is that the earbuds are inherently uncomfortable for some of us after about an hour as compared to the in-the-ear type. Overall a thumbs up for the JVC Gumy Earbud headphones. Cheers...Les
i'm happythese are great for everyday use, they fit well in my ears (better than the ones that are standar for i-pods) and are very very comfortable. the only reason for me not rating these a 5 is the lack of bass compared to my other ones. the rest of the sound is very crisp and i recommend these for their price value. worth the time and money, im using them now. :)
mixed feelingsfeels comfortable in your ear and sound quality is good but...
it tends to get tangled up easily
