Amazon.com Product Description
Coby's compact DVD-207 affords DVD and CD playback from a device about the size of a soft-cover book. Whether you're ferrying the player between the kitchen and the bedroom or hooking it up for periodic use by the kids, the DVD-207's small size permits myriad uses. While not quite portable in the traditional sense--the unit has no screen and requires AC power--the DVD-207 is much easier to move around, set-up, and use than a traditional component DVD player. It handles not only your DVD-Videos (both NTSC- and PAL-formatted discs), but your music, too, from standard CDs to home-burned CD-Rs, CD-RWs, and MP3-encoded CDs. Further, you can load a disc brimming with digital photos for custom slide shows in the comfort of your home theater.
An onscreen display simplifies setup and operation, and the unit comes with a compact, full-function remote control. Other features include parental controls (with PIN lock), frame-by-frame slow motion, picture zoom (2x, 4x), and multiple-angle viewing (with applicable discs).
Like to travel? The DVD-207 won't hog space in your bag, and an auto-switching universal power supply handles inputs from AC 110 to 220 volts (50/60 Hz) for use in most countries. Accordingly, the unit's onscreen display offers a choice of 5 setup languages: English, Spanish, French, German, and Italian.
A composite-video output ensures compatibility with nearly any television and many newer computer monitors. Both Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1-channel surround-sound signals can be routed through the player's coaxial-type digital-audio output for direct connection to a full-featured audio/video receiver, while a set of standard left/right RCA analog outputs simplifies hookup with traditional integrated amplifiers and most televisions.

"You get what you pay for!"I will be returning this DVD player! It is cheap and doesn't work very well! Every movie I've tried to play in it messes up! I wounld NOT recommend buying it!
A great deal for the price, if you get one that works.I purchased a Coby DVD-207 locally from a retailer because of the awesome price. They had it with a $20 mail in rebate that made it a hard deal to pass up. I purchased one and quickly went back to my dorm room to set it up. While unpacking it from the cardboard I noted that the entire unit feels rather flimsy. I was easily able to get the wires plugged in, and I started it up. I put a normal, store purchased DVD in and turned the unit on. There were some grinding noises from within the unit and it took between 3-5 seconds before it started playback. During playback the audio and video would randomly skip, making the movie all but unwatchable. I put the DVD into my laptop and it played back without any issues. I tried several other DVDs and audio cds and found them all to have the same playback problem. I quickly called the store back and spoke to the manager, they said that several people had the same problem with this model and they would exchange it for in store credit. So, after only owning it for a few hours, it went back to the store. I am glad I dodged that bullet and got rid of it before it died and was not in the store's warranty. If you read the warranty information from Coby when you unpack the unit, you will realize that they don't have any interest in fixing or replacing a defective unit (My unit's warranty required that I pay for shipment both ways and also pay a fee for returning a defective unit...) By that point, to get a replacement for a broken unit, you end up paying more than you did in the first place. Do yourself a favor, spend a bit more money and get something that is higher quality, it will last longer and larger companies have more consumer friendly return policies.
A POS - you get what you pay forGot this one at Amazon and from the beginning, it is picky about the DVDs you put in. The picture is just unacceptable. Sure enough, within 2 months of time, it won't even play no more. What a piece of sh**. NEVER BUY COBY, biggest loser maker in the world.
A very nice miniature.... Good quality so farI think overall a very good product.
Cheap MP3 playerI got this for free with my cell phone. I use it exclusively as a standalone mp3 player and I've had no problems at all. You just need a cable that that joins the left and right sound output to the stereo cable of your speaker / headphones.
Coby DVD Player sucksI bought this product a week back and amazing part is that I was not able to play even one DVD till now. The DVD player looks like a chinese made toy. The Functions are not appealing.Overall this player sucks.
Coby DVD-207 Compact DVD PlayerI give it a 5 . Because you really get alot for the money. It only took me a few minutes to install and I was up and running. It does what you want it to do at the right price.
I'm looking forward for more products with this recipe.
COBY PLAYERI purchased this player via the net and in my opinion it's not worth it... but for the price what do you expect.... true to the fact it plays everything...but it skips and sticks alot....i even tried a brand new dvd out of the wrapping and it sticked....it's not worth it.....
coby reviewThis is a great product. I bought 20 of them for gifts; every one loved them no problems at all. They loved that it is small, light weight and compact that way they save on space. I recommend this product to anyone who is looking for an inexpensive price and good quality. Thank You
DO NOT BUYThis DVD player Scrambles up the subtitles and sometimes the screen freezes either with my DVD-R Backups or The Original movie... it doesnt even play the original movie right!!!! Don't waste your money, don't buy just because of the price, spend a little more and get something that actually works!
