Above review has the wrong media code
Be aware that -R media from MMC does not have the same media code as +R and the above review is for the +R. If this media is MMC then the media code would probably be MCC 02RG20.

Bad Batch
I am not sure who to be mad at 1st.Amazon or Verbatim? I don't know why I still use Amazon, since I have bad experieces with them. From never receiving product ordered,or this time from bad packaging. However, in this instance,Verbatim poor quality control of their product is the culprit. I lost many opportunity to record singular events (shows and movies that only will air once),because of defective discs. Not one or two,but try 15 percent on a spindle of 100. I Deam this error rate unacceptable. And no it was not my dvd player, since it was on several different players that I also used a disc lens cleaner and a disc cleaner on the discs themselves. I would as for a refund, but I not going to lose anymore money in sending them back. I am going to be leary to buy any future verbatim product,also,if I will ever use Amazon Again.

different media code?
these aren't the same ones i've bought in the past at Sam's Club, the media code is different, forget what they were...made three coasters already...only bought it b/c Amazon had a sale...stick to Ritek/Ridata's

Excellent media
Media code on my spindle was MCC. Excellent media, coasters are rare (and are generally the result of me playing around too much).

Excellent Media at an Excellent Price after Rebate
Even though you can get off-brand stock for perhaps a dime per piece less, this is harrd to beat -- (...). No coasters.

Excellent Media Quality and compatibility
I was a little skeptical at first, based on some of the reviews, but my media checks out as MCC, which is supposedly Mitsubishi Chemical, one of the best manufacturers of quality media. So far, no problems and no coasters. Plays perfectly on 3 DVD players in my house. Only complaint is that the writing surface is not very accepting of my Sharpie. It stays on, but looks like it isn't sticking at all. Media code on these is the same as Verbatim's high-end Data-life Plus series. Very satisfied.

Excellent Value for DVD-R
I am very pleased with the quality of the product. I have burned about a dozen discs and have had zero coasters. After the rebate, the price was very competitive.

Good as always
I've always liked the quality of Verbatim Media. These are good quality disks at a good price. I'm close to using my first 100 with not a single problem. So, I've purchased another 100 disks. What I also like is that they have a surface you can write on, but if you stick a label on, the surface does not show through the label. Great disks.
